The children are trained by Alan Ashfield and his team of coaches. Alan is regional coach for the West Midlands for the English Ski Council (ESC) Children showing promise in the training offered by the council run Telford Ski Slope, are invited by the coach to attend a training session on Wednesday from 6.30-8.00pm.

When possible, training and racing camps are organised during the October half term holiday, at Christmas and Easter. The coaches teach the children racing techniques on snow.

Most weekends, there are races on the national race circuit. Children who are registered with the English Ski Council (ESC) as ski racers, can compete within their age group with other children from ski clubs across the country.

Family groups of all ages are taught on a Saturday afternoon. The slope has an equipment chalet, and a bar/chalet. The bar chalet is also available for hire for children's parties, wedding receptions and dance, and for meetings/conferences during the day.
